Transformers 4 Takes Series In New Direction

As some of you may know Mark “Marky Mark” Wahlberg will be taking the lead role in the next Transformers film. The movie is not being called a “reboot”, but more of a continuation of the series, and taking it in a new direction. Many of the characters from the first three films will not be returning, this includes humans and robots. Shia LaBeouf won’t be apart of the series anymore, and this could be a good or bad thing, depending on who you ask. Series Director Michael Bay plans to be apart of this last movie before handing the franchise off to someone else.

The movie will take place four years after the events of Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, and will have a much darker and serious tone. This news wasn’t so welcome because I actually enjoyed the humor of the last movies, and I think Wahlberg is very capable of being funny and action-y at the same time. Regardless of what they do I’m interested in watching it. As long as they give Optimus Prime a chance to go off like he did in the last two movies I’ll be happy.

The “new look” Transformer is set for a June 29, 2014 release.
