The Fred Hampton Institute For Resistance’s Black Studies Program At DARE

Starting on July 10th there will be a Black Studies course at DARE on Lockwood St here in Providence, RI. This is the beginning of The Fred Hampton Institute For Resistance. Our goal is to offer safe spaces for people to have constructive conversations about race and the black experience. The class will be led by Marco McWilliams and will add historical context to the contemporary black experience in American and across the world. Classes will be held on Fridays from 6pm-8pm on July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st and August 7th. Graduation will be held on Augusts 14th where participants will receive a $100 stipend for attending all five classes.
