I usually never get single-player games when they’re released (because I’m poor). Nornally, I get games long after the’yre released, when the price is discounted and the conversation has moved on.
Metal Gear is a classic video game franchise that’s been around since 1987. Before MGS V, I played Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots, and I liked it a lot. I’ve always enjoyed stealth-action and its wacky story and mythos intrigued me. Before playing that game back in 2008 I researched everything Metal Gear. I knew I would be confused jumping in at the series’ alleged finale. I beat the game and was still confused, but satisfied with the journey.
With MGS V, the gameplay is so much fun that I don’t even care to understand the story. I know the basic. Snake is trying to build Outer Heaven and Mother Base, Skullface is trying to kill Snake and Metal Gears are in play. That all I got! What’s more important and enjoyable is sneaking around, taking out enemies and trying different tactics. This is some of the most fun I’ve had playing a stealth action game…. but if anyone wants to explain what’s going on feel free.
