In 2012 a really good friend of mine put me on to this Swedish-Ethiopian singer by the name of Sebastian Mikael. His track ‘Beautiful Life’ was one I would always keep on repeat on my youtube channel. After doing a little research, I found out that Mr. Mikael had dropped his first mixtape, ‘J’Adore’ a year prior in 2011. Since then I was always on the lookout for new music from this up and coming artist.

Before I put you all on to Sebastian Mikael if you’re not hip to him yet, I’d like to give you all some background information on this artist. Sebastian is formerly known as De-Lor (French for “of gold”) is a professionally trained music vocalist from Sweden. He ended up moving to the states where he found opportunity and ability to grow with his music. He attended Hollywood’s Musician Institute in California to study audio engineering back in 2008 for two years then relocated to Boston in 2010. In Boston he attended Berklee College of Music where he first started releasing his music as well as first mixtape a year after attending the school.

‘J’Adore’ was a mixtape that opened to door to many opportunities as well as a solid fan base. It helped catch the ears to music executive, Sylvia Rhone, who led him to get signed to Slip-N-Slide records. Now as a up rising singer-songwriter, Sebastian Mikael has been featured with well known artist like Wale on radio hit “Last Night”, “4 U” with Rick Ross, and “Made for Me” with Teyana Taylor. It was only right that he gives us a debut album!

‘Speechless’, Sebastian Mikael’s debut album, will be available in stores and on iTunes Tuesday, June 24th! I am here to give you a sneak peak with this exclusive album stream!
