Event Recap: Art On The Ave II 10.2.15

Two weeks ago we kicked off the weekend with our second installment of Art On The Ave. As a team composed of millennials, we want to introduce new and innovative ways for young professionals to network, and how better to do that than over some art, free drinks and dope tunes?  As a Providence native myself, I have had the privilege of growing up in the art scene in our creative capital and know first hand just how talented the youth is in this lovely city. For the purpose of this event, we wanted to create a space for young millennial artists to be creatively free and unrestricted of how and where they can show their work. We gathered a group of 10 artists to display and sell some of their best work. This event also doubled as a fundraiser to help support our 444 scholarship that is awarded to one Providence youth attending college in the fall. We were fortunate enough to have artists donate some beautiful pieces to be raffled off. This post will be followed up with brief interviews of the artists who donated to our fund.

On behalf of the Sorry 4 The Blog team, we like to thank all the individuals who came out to our event. We are very thankful for our new followers and appreciative of the supporters who have been rocking with us from the start. Also, I would like to personally thank the dope people who bought art, busted out in an impromptu dance battle to Post Malone’s White Iverson and who really took the opportunity to meet new people.
